Ingredients

Cookie Dough
  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 tsp baking soda
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter melted and cooled
  • 0.75 cup dark brown sugar packed
  • 0.25 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 egg room temperature
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 0.5 cup white chocolate chips for the dough
Decoration
  • 12 white chocolate melting wafers for snouts
  • 0.25 cup dark chocolate chips melted, for eyes/nose
  • 2 tbsp pink candy melts melted, for cheeks

Equipment

  • Baking sheet
  • Parchment paper
  • Mixing bowls
  • Piping Bag or Ziploc

Method

  1. Whisk melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar in a large bowl until smooth. Add egg and vanilla, mixing well.
  2. Fold in flour and baking soda until just combined. Stir in white chocolate chips.
  3. Chill the dough for 30 minutes. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  4. Scoop tablespoons of dough and roll into balls for the faces. Roll tiny marble-sized balls for ears and attach them firmly to the top of the face balls.
  5. Space cookies 2 inches apart. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden.
  6. Remove from oven. Immediately press a white chocolate wafer onto the lower center of each hot cookie to create the snout.
  7. Allow cookies to cool completely on the tray.
  8. Using melted dark chocolate and a toothpick or piping bag, draw eyes and a nose/mouth on the snout. Use pink melts to dot the cheeks.

Notes

Ensure the cookies are fully cool before piping the eyes, or the chocolate will bloom and run.
