Ingredients

Flatbread Dough
  • 350 g Flour Approx. 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 250 g Yogurt Plain yogurt (approx. 1 cup)
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
Garlic Butter Glaze
  • 30 g Butter Melted (approx. 2 tablespoons)
  • 2 cloves Garlic Finely minced or crushed
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh parsley Finely chopped (optional)

Equipment

  • Air Fryer
  • Mixing bowl
  • Rolling pin
  • Pastry brush

Method

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.
  2. Add the yogurt and mix until a shaggy dough forms. Turn onto a floured surface and knead gently for 2-3 minutes until smooth.
  3. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 5 minutes.
  4. Divide the dough into 8 equal pieces and roll each into a thin disc, about 1/4-inch thick.
  5. Place 1-2 flatbreads in the air fryer basket (do not overlap). Air fry for 4-6 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and puffed.
  6. While cooking, combine the melted butter, crushed garlic, and chopped parsley.
  7. Immediately brush the hot flatbreads with the garlic butter mixture as they come out of the air fryer. Keep warm in a kitchen towel.

Notes

Keep the cooked flatbreads wrapped in a clean, damp kitchen towel to ensure they stay soft and pliable while you finish cooking the rest of the batch.
