  • 0.25 tsp black pepper
  • 0.25 cup chopped fresh cilantro plus more for garnish
For Serving
  • 12-16 small corn or flour tortillas
  • extra lime wedges
  • optional sliced avocado
  • optional hot sauce
  • optional sour cream or Greek yogurt

Equipment

  • Air Fryer
  • Mixing bowls
  • Whisk
  • Tongs

Method

  1. Pat salmon dry. Rub with olive oil, smoked paprika, garlic powder, cumin, cayenne (if using), salt, pepper, and a squeeze of half a lime.
  2. Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 5 minutes.
  3. Place salmon in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Air fry for 10-15 minutes until cooked through and flakes easily. Cook in batches if needed.
  4. For slaw: Whisk mayonnaise, lime juice, honey, apple cider vinegar, salt, and pepper until smooth. Dressing should have a thick, gooey, viscous consistency.
  5. Add shredded coleslaw mix and cilantro to dressing. Toss gently until evenly coated.
  6. Warm tortillas (skillet, microwave, or air fryer) until pliable.
  7. Flake cooked salmon. Fill warm tortillas with salmon and top generously with zesty slaw.
  8. Garnish with extra cilantro and lime wedges. Serve immediately with optional toppings.

Notes

Adjust spice levels in the salmon seasoning to your preference. For extra crunch, add a handful of chopped nuts or seeds to the slaw. Ensure salmon is not overcooked to maintain moisture.
