- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Unroll thawed puff pastry.
- Place Brie in center of pastry. Top with fig jam and chopped nuts.
- Bring pastry edges up and over Brie, pressing seams to seal. Trim excess. Crimp edges with a fork if desired.
- Flip Brie parcel seam-side down onto baking sheet. Brush with whisked egg wash.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until deeply golden brown and puffed, and cheese is completely melted and gooey.
- Remove from oven. Let rest 5-10 minutes on baking sheet.
- Transfer to serving platter. Drizzle generously with honey (thick, gooey, viscous consistency). Garnish with fresh thyme. Serve warm with dippers.
Notes
Ensure puff pastry is thawed but still cold for best results. Do not overbake to prevent cheese from leaking. Resting period is important for optimal gooey cheese texture.
