Ingredients

Sliders
  • 1 package (12-ct) Hawaiian sweet rolls
  • 1 lb sliced turkey leftover or deli
  • 0.5 lb sliced Swiss cheese or Provolone
  • 1 cup whole berry cranberry sauce thick, gooey consistency
Savory Glaze
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter 1 stick, melted
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp poppy seeds
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 0.5 tsp onion powder

Equipment

  • 9x13 inch baking dish
  • Small saucepan
  • Serrated knife

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  2. Without separating, slice the slab of Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally.
  3. Place the bottom half of the rolls in the dish. Layer with half the Swiss cheese, all the turkey, the thick, gooey cranberry sauce, and the remaining Swiss cheese.
  4. Place the top half of the rolls on.
  5. Make the glaze: In a saucepan, melt the butter. Whisk in Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, onion powder, poppy seeds, and sesame seeds until it forms a thick, viscous glaze.
  6. Cover with foil. Bake at 350°F for 15-20 minutes to melt the cheese and warm through.
  7. Uncover, then bake for 5-10 more minutes until tops are golden brown, and the cheese is gooey and bubbling.
  8. Let rest for 5 minutes. Cut along the roll lines to separate and serve immediately.

Notes

Ensure the cranberry sauce is thick and gooey; if too thin, it can make the bottom buns soggy. These are best served warm.
