Method
- Prepare your glass: Rub a lime wedge along the rim of a rocks glass and dip it into your coarse salt or Tajin to coat the edge. Fill the glass to the top with crushed ice.
- In a cocktail shaker, combine the fresh blueberries and agave nectar. Use a muddler to crush the berries thoroughly to release their juices.
- Add the Blanco Tequila, pineapple juice, fresh lime juice, and orange liqueur to the shaker.
- Fill the shaker halfway with ice cubes, secure the lid, and shake vigorously for 15 to 20 seconds until the outside of the shaker is frosty.
- Double strain the cocktail by pouring it through a fine mesh strainer over your prepared, ice-filled rocks glass to remove all berry pulp.
- Garnish with a fresh blueberry on a cocktail pick and two pineapple fronds tucked into the ice. Serve immediately.
Notes
To make a pitcher for a party, multiply all liquid ingredients by 8. Instead of muddling fresh berries, make a quick blueberry simple syrup to save time and ensure a smooth texture.
