Ingredients

Pork Chops
  • 4 thick-cut pork chops bone-in or boneless, 1-inch thick
  • 1 package Boursin Cheese Garlic & Fine Herbs variety (5.2 oz)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp salt to taste
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper freshly cracked
  • 0.25 cup chicken broth optional, for sauce
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley chopped, for garnish

Equipment

  • Large Skillet (Cast Iron or Stainless Steel)
  • Tongs
  • Meat thermometer

Method

  1. Remove pork chops from fridge 20 minutes before cooking and pat dry with paper towels.
  2. Mix salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder; rub generously onto both sides of the chops.
  3. Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat until butter foams.
  4. Add pork chops and sear for 4-5 minutes on one side until a golden brown crust forms.
  5. Flip the chops and immediately top each with a generous portion of Boursin cheese.
  6. Reduce heat to medium-low, add chicken broth if using, and cover the pan.
  7. Cook covered for 3-5 minutes until cheese softens and pork reaches 145°F (63°C).
  8. Let rest for 5 minutes before serving garnished with parsley.

Notes

Ensure you buy thick-cut chops to prevent drying out. If the cheese isn't melting enough, you can place the skillet under the broiler for 1-2 minutes, but watch closely.
