Ingredients

  • 2 litres ginger ale chilled
  • 1 litre cranberry juice chilled (cocktail or 100% juice)
  • 1 cup pineapple juice chilled
  • 0.5 cup lemon juice chilled, fresh is best
  • Fresh cranberries for garnish
  • Pineapple chunks for garnish
  • Mint sprigs for garnish
  • Candy canes for garnish

Equipment

  • Large punch bowl or pitcher
  • Liquid Measuring Cups
  • Ladle or Stirring Spoon

Method

  1. Ensure all liquid ingredients (ginger ale, cranberry juice, pineapple juice, and lemon juice) are thoroughly chilled prior to mixing.
  2. In a large punch bowl or pitcher, gently combine the chilled cranberry juice, pineapple juice, and lemon juice. Stir briefly to mix.
  3. Just before serving, gently pour in the chilled ginger ale. Pour down the side of the bowl to preserve the carbonation. Stir carefully and briefly—do not overmix.
  4. Add plenty of ice. Garnish the punch with fresh cranberries and pineapple chunks floating on top, and a mint sprig.
  5. Serve immediately in glasses garnished with a mini candy cane hooked over the rim.

Notes

For an adult version, add 1-1.5 cups of white rum or vodka to the juice base before adding the ginger ale. For less dilution, make cranberry or pineapple juice ice cubes in advance.
