- Combine warm water, sugar, and yeast in mixer bowl. Let bloom for 10 minutes.
- Add melted butter, salt, and flour. Knead for 5 minutes until smooth.
- Place dough in oiled bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour until doubled.
- Brown ground beef with onion in a skillet. Stir in condiments and seasonings. Let cool completely.
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and boil water with baking soda in a large pot.
- Divide dough into 16 pieces. Flatten, fill with beef and a cheese cube, then seal tightly.
- Boil each bomb for 30 seconds, then transfer to baking sheet.
- Brush with egg wash, sprinkle with salt, and bake 15-18 minutes until golden brown.
