Method
- Toss the diced chicken with smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and sear for 5-7 minutes until golden brown and cooked through. Remove chicken from the pan and set aside.
- Lower heat to medium-low. In the same skillet, melt 1 tablespoon of butter and sauté the minced garlic for 30-60 seconds until fragrant.
- Pour in the heavy cream, scraping up any browned bits from the pan. Whisk in the cream cheese until completely melted and smooth.
- Stir in the shredded mozzarella and parmesan cheeses until melted into a thick, gooey sauce. Fold the cooked chicken back into the sauce to coat.
- Warm the tortillas in the microwave for 20 seconds to make them pliable.
- Spoon the cheesy garlic chicken mixture into the center of each tortilla. Fold in the sides and roll tightly into a wrap.
- Wipe the skillet clean or use a fresh pan. Heat a small amount of butter or oil over medium heat. Toast the wraps seam-side down for 1-2 minutes until golden brown. Flip and toast the other side. Serve immediately.
Notes
Always grate your own cheese from a block for the smoothest sauce. To store: keep leftover filling separate from tortillas, or wrap fully assembled wraps in foil and freeze for up to 2 months.
