Ingredients

Chicken & Seasoning
  • 1.5 lbs Boneless skinless chicken breasts cut into bite-sized cubes
  • 1 tsp Smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp Garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp Onion powder
  • 1 tsp Dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Black pepper
  • 1 tbsp Olive oil
Cheesy Garlic Sauce & Assembly
  • 1 tbsp Butter plus extra for toasting
  • 3 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1/2 cup Heavy cream or half & half
  • 3 oz Cream cheese cubed, softened
  • 1 cup Mozzarella cheese freshly shredded
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese grated
  • 4 large Flour tortillas burrito size

Equipment

  • Large skillet
  • Whisk or Wooden Spoon

Method

  1. Toss the diced chicken with smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and sear for 5-7 minutes until golden brown and cooked through. Remove chicken from the pan and set aside.
  3. Lower heat to medium-low. In the same skillet, melt 1 tablespoon of butter and sauté the minced garlic for 30-60 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Pour in the heavy cream, scraping up any browned bits from the pan. Whisk in the cream cheese until completely melted and smooth.
  5. Stir in the shredded mozzarella and parmesan cheeses until melted into a thick, gooey sauce. Fold the cooked chicken back into the sauce to coat.
  6. Warm the tortillas in the microwave for 20 seconds to make them pliable.
  7. Spoon the cheesy garlic chicken mixture into the center of each tortilla. Fold in the sides and roll tightly into a wrap.
  8. Wipe the skillet clean or use a fresh pan. Heat a small amount of butter or oil over medium heat. Toast the wraps seam-side down for 1-2 minutes until golden brown. Flip and toast the other side. Serve immediately.

Notes

Always grate your own cheese from a block for the smoothest sauce. To store: keep leftover filling separate from tortillas, or wrap fully assembled wraps in foil and freeze for up to 2 months.
