Method
- Bake or air fry the frozen tater tots according to package instructions until they are very golden and extra crispy.
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat, brown the ground beef, breaking it apart as it cooks. Drain excess fat.
- Stir in the taco seasoning and water. Simmer on medium-low for 3-5 minutes until the sauce thickens and coats the meat.
- Warm the tortillas in the microwave for 20-30 seconds so they are soft and pliable.
- To assemble, place a scoop of the beef mixture in the center of a tortilla. Top with a handful of crispy tater tots and a generous pinch of shredded cheese.
- Fold the sides inward, then roll the burrito tightly from the bottom up.
- Heat a clean skillet with a little butter or oil over medium heat. Toast the burritos seam-side down for 1-2 minutes until golden, then flip and toast the other side. Serve immediately.
Notes
Freezer Instructions: Allow assembled and toasted burritos to cool completely. Wrap tightly in foil and freeze in a zip-top bag for up to 3 months. Reheat in a 350F oven for 40 minutes.
