Ingredients

For the Punch
  • 2 cups orange juice preferably with pulp
  • 2 cups cranberry juice sweetened or unsweetened
  • 1 cup pineapple juice
  • 2-3 cups ginger ale or sparkling cider chilled
For Garnish (Optional)
  • 0.25 cup granulated sugar for rim
  • 1 orange or clementine thinly sliced
  • 0.5 cup fresh cranberries
  • sprigs Fresh rosemary

Equipment

  • Large punch bowl or pitcher
  • Ladle
  • Serving glasses

Method

  1. Ensure all juices and ginger ale are thoroughly chilled (at least 2 hours or overnight).
  2. Optional: Prepare glasses by rubbing an orange wedge on the rim and dipping in a plate of granulated sugar to create a thick, sticky rim.
  3. In a large punch bowl or pitcher, combine the chilled orange juice, cranberry juice, and pineapple juice. Stir gently.
  4. Just before serving, slowly pour in the chilled ginger ale, stirring gently to combine and preserve the fizz.
  5. Add ice, fresh cranberries, and orange slices directly to the punch bowl for presentation.
  6. Ladle the pulpy, heavy punch into the prepared glasses. Garnish each glass with an extra orange slice and a sprig of rosemary. Serve immediately.

Notes

For an adult version, swap the ginger ale for prosecco for a 'Christmas Mimosa', or add 2 cups of vodka or white rum to the juice base.
