Method
- Prepare the twist mix: Melt the butter in a large saucepan over low heat. Add the marshmallows and stir constantly until melted and smooth. Be careful not to let the mixture burn.
- Remove the saucepan from the heat immediately. Stir in the cotton candy flavor and pink food coloring until an even color is achieved.
- Add the Rice Krispies cereal and stir gently until evenly coated. While still warm, divide the mixture and quickly form it around 12 lollipop sticks into twist shapes, pressing firmly. Place on wax paper to cool completely.
- Create the marbled coating: In a double boiler or microwave, melt the white chocolate. Stir in the coconut oil (if needed for consistency) and add a few pink candy melts or drops of dye, swirling minimally to create a pattern.
- Holding each cooled twist by the stick, dip it into the marbled coating, swirl for coverage, and let excess drip off. Return to the wax paper and immediately add sprinkles or gold dust.
- Let the chocolate setting set completely (about 10-15 minutes) before serving or packaging. (Can be chilled for speed).
Notes
Ensuring the Rice Krispies cereal is fresh is critical. Press the warm mixture firmly onto the sticks. Use gel food coloring for vibrancy. Adjust sweetener to taste. Try different teas and milks for flavor variation.
