- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9x9 inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang for easy removal.
- In a medium bowl, mix graham cracker crumbs, sugar, salt, and melted butter until combined and crumbly.
- Press the crumb mixture firmly into the bottom of the prepared pan. Bake for 8 minutes to set the crust. Remove from oven.
- In a small bowl, stir the vanilla extract into the sweetened condensed milk.
- Pour the milk mixture evenly over the warm crust.
- Sprinkle the fresh cranberries and chocolate chips evenly over the milk layer. Press down gently.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until edges are golden brown and bubbling. The center may still wobble slightly.
- Cool completely in the pan on a wire rack for at least 3 hours before slicing into squares.
Notes
For cleaner cuts, chill the bars in the refrigerator for 1 hour after they have cooled to room temperature.
