  • 2 medium jalapeño peppers seeds and membranes removed for less heat, roughly chopped
  • 4 green onions sliced, white and light green parts
  • 0.5 cup fresh cilantro roughly chopped
  • 0.75-1 cup granulated sugar adjust to desired sweetness
  • 1 tbsp lime juice freshly squeezed
  • 0.25 tsp salt
Cream Cheese Base
  • 16 oz cream cheese 2 blocks, softened to room temperature

Equipment

  • Food processor
  • Hand mixer or stand mixer
  • Mixing bowls
  • Rubber Spatula

Method

  1. In a food processor, combine cranberries, jalapeños, green onions, cilantro, sugar, lime juice, and salt. Pulse until mixture is finely chopped and resembles a chunky salsa. Do not puree.
  2. Transfer the cranberry mixture to a bowl, cover, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow flavors to meld and juices to release.
  3. In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with a hand mixer until light, fluffy, and smooth.
  4. Pour the chilled cranberry mixture over the whipped cream cheese. Gently fold together until combined. You can mix completely or leave it swirled.
  5. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving to allow the dip to firm up. Serve with crackers, chips, or bread.

Notes

For best results, make this dip a day in advance. Adjust sugar and jalapeños to your taste preferences.
