Ingredients

The Filling
  • 16 oz cream cheese softened
  • 0.5 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup strawberries finely chopped
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
The Coating
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 sleeves graham crackers crushed into crumbs
  • 3 cups vegetable oil for frying

Equipment

  • Deep Pot or Dutch Oven
  • Slotted spoon
  • Baking sheet
  • Cookie scoop

Method

  1. Mix softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth. Fold in chopped strawberries.
  2. Scoop into golf-ball sizes onto a parchment-lined baking sheet. Freeze for at least 2 hours until solid.
  3. Whisk flour and milk to make a batter. Place graham cracker crumbs in a separate bowl.
  4. Heat oil in a deep pot to 350°F (175°C).
  5. Dip frozen balls into batter, then roll in graham crumbs to coat completely.
  6. Fry in small batches for 2-3 minutes until golden brown. Drain on wire rack.
  7. Dust with powdered sugar and serve immediately while hot and gooey.

Notes

Ensure the cheesecake balls are frozen solid before frying, otherwise they will melt into the oil.
