- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
- Whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
- Cream butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs one at a time, then vanilla extract.
- Alternately add the dry mixture and milk to the wet ingredients, mixing only until just combined.
- Gently fold in the candied fruit or sprinkles.
- Pour batter into the pan and bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a skewer comes out clean.
- Cool in pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Whisk powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla for the glaze. Drizzle over the cooled bread and immediately top with holiday sprinkles. Let set before slicing.
