Ingredients

Dough
  • 1 lb pizza dough fresh or store-bought
  • 1 tbsp olive oil for greasing
Garlic Butter Sauce
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 0.5 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 0.5 tsp salt
Toppings
  • 0.33 cup parmesan cheese grated
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley chopped
  • 1 cup marinara sauce optional, for dipping

Equipment

  • Baking sheet
  • Mixing bowls
  • Saucepan
  • Pastry brush

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Divide pizza dough into 4 sections, roll into ropes, and cut into 1-inch pieces.
  3. Roll pieces into rough balls and place on baking sheet. Bake for 8-10 minutes until slightly puffed.
  4. Meanwhile, melt butter and mix with minced garlic, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and salt.
  5. Toss partially baked bites in half the butter mixture, then return to oven for 3-5 minutes until golden.
  6. Remove from oven, brush with remaining butter, and sprinkle generously with parmesan and parsley.
  7. Serve warm with marinara sauce for dipping.

Notes

Best served immediately while warm and gooey. Dough can be substituted with refrigerated biscuit dough for a quicker version.
