Ingredients

The Base
  • 8-10 oz goat cheese log or cream cheese block
The Topping
  • 0.5 cup dried figs chopped
  • 0.33 cup shelled pistachios roasted and salted, chopped
  • 0.25 cup honey warmed
  • 1 pinch sea salt flaky

Equipment

  • Serving platter
  • Knife
  • Small bowl

Method

  1. Remove goat cheese from packaging and place on a serving platter. Allow to sit for 10-15 minutes to take the chill off.
  2. Chop the dried figs and pistachios into small, bite-sized pieces.
  3. In a small bowl, toss the figs and pistachios together to mix.
  4. Spoon the fruit and nut mixture generously over the top and sides of the cheese block, pressing gently to adhere.
  5. Drizzle the warmed honey liberally over the entire appetizer, letting it pool on the plate.
  6. Serve immediately with crackers or toasted baguette slices.

Notes

Soak figs in warm water for 10 minutes if they are too hard.
