Ingredients

Gummy Base
  • 1 cup water Filtered preferred
  • 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp honey Raw honey preferred
  • 1/2 tsp ground turmeric
  • 1/4 tsp ground ginger
  • 2 1/2 tbsp unflavored gelatin Grass-fed bovine gelatin recommended

Equipment

  • Silicone Gummy Molds
  • Small saucepan
  • Whisk

Method

  1. Prepare your molds by placing silicone gummy molds on a flat, movable surface like a cutting board or baking sheet.
  2. In a small saucepan, whisk together the water, fresh lemon juice, ground turmeric, and ground ginger until the spices are dispersed.
  3. Sprinkle the unflavored gelatin evenly over the surface of the cold liquid. Let it sit undisturbed for 3-5 minutes to bloom.
  4. Place the saucepan over low heat and whisk gently and continuously for 3-5 minutes, just until the gelatin is completely dissolved. Do not boil.
  5. Remove the pan from the heat. Let it cool for 1 minute, then gently stir in the honey until dissolved.
  6. Carefully pour or use a dropper to transfer the liquid mixture into the silicone molds.
  7. Transfer the molds to the refrigerator and chill for at least 2 hours, or until completely firm.
  8. Pop the gummies out of the molds and store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator.

Notes

Adding a tiny pinch of black pepper to the liquid before heating will increase the absorption of the turmeric in your body. Store in the fridge for up to 14 days.
