Wet Ingredients
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs large
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 0.5 cup hot fudge sauce warmed slightly
  • 0.5 cup milk
Dry Ingredients
  • 1.25 cups all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips divided

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
  2. Whisk melted butter and sugar together, then beat in eggs and vanilla.
  3. Stir in the hot fudge sauce until smooth.
  4. Sift together flour, cocoa, baking powder, and salt in a separate bowl.
  5. Alternating with milk, fold dry ingredients into wet ingredients gently.
  6. Fold in 3/4 cup of chocolate chips.
  7. Pour into pan, top with remaining chips, and bake for 50-60 minutes.
  8. Cool in pan for 15 minutes, then drizzle with extra fudge before serving.

Notes

Do not overbake. The toothpick should come out with moist crumbs, not dry.
