Method
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
- Place the bottom halves of the sliced croissants evenly into the prepared baking dish.
- Layer the sliced ham evenly over the croissant bottoms, followed by the slices of Swiss cheese.
- Place the top halves of the croissants over the cheese to close the sandwiches.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, Dijon mustard, poppy seeds, Worcestershire sauce, and onion powder.
- Use a pastry brush or spoon to generously coat the tops of the croissants with the butter mixture, letting excess drip down the sides.
- Cover the baking dish tightly with aluminum foil and bake for 15-20 minutes until the cheese is completely melted.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes until the tops of the croissants are crispy and golden brown.
- Let rest for 3-5 minutes before serving hot.
Notes
Make Ahead: You can assemble the sandwiches and add the glaze up to 24 hours in advance. Cover tightly and refrigerate. Bake as directed, adding a few extra minutes to the covered baking time.
