Hot Honey Pepperoni Ricotta Pizza

Ingredients
  

Pizza Base
  • 1 lb pizza dough room temperature
  • 0.5 cup pizza sauce
  • 1.5 cups mozzarella cheese shredded
Toppings
  • 4 oz pepperoni cup and char style preferred
  • 0.5 cup ricotta cheese whole milk
  • 2 tbsp hot honey for drizzling
  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes optional
  • 1 sprig fresh rosemary chopped

Equipment

  • Pizza stone or baking sheet
  • Pizza Peel or Parchment Paper
  • Pizza cutter

Method
 

  1. Place a pizza stone or baking sheet in the oven and preheat to 500°F (260°C) for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Stretch the pizza dough into a 12-14 inch circle on a floured surface.
  3. Spread pizza sauce thinly over the dough and top with shredded mozzarella.
  4. Arrange pepperoni slices on top. Add teaspoon-sized dollops of ricotta cheese between the pepperoni.
  5. Transfer carefully to the oven and bake for 10-12 minutes until crust is golden and cheese is bubbly.
  6. Remove from oven and immediately drizzle generously with hot honey.
  7. Garnish with fresh rosemary and red pepper flakes before slicing.

Notes

If making your own hot honey: heat 1/2 cup honey with 1 tsp chili flakes and a splash of vinegar.
