Ingredients

Latte Ingredients
  • 1-2 shots espresso Freshly brewed and hot
  • 1 tsp honey Adjust to taste
  • 1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 3/4 cup milk Whole, oat, almond, or preferred milk
  • 1 cup ice cubes

Equipment

  • Espresso Machine or Moka Pot
  • Tall Glass
  • Whisk or Small Spoon

Method

  1. Brew 1 to 2 shots of espresso using your preferred method.
  2. While the espresso is still piping hot, add the honey, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon directly into the hot coffee.
  3. Stir or whisk vigorously until the honey is completely dissolved and the cinnamon is well incorporated.
  4. Fill a tall glass to the top with fresh ice cubes.
  5. Pour your cold milk of choice over the ice.
  6. Slowly pour the warm, spiced espresso mixture over the milk and ice.
  7. Stir well with a long spoon or straw to combine all the layers and chill the drink instantly. Enjoy immediately!

Notes

It is crucial to dissolve the honey and cinnamon in the hot espresso first. If you add them to the cold milk, the honey will harden and the cinnamon will clump. To make this vegan, swap the honey for maple syrup.
