- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, cream softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy (about 3-4 minutes).
- Beat in eggs one at a time. Add ricotta cheese, vanilla extract, and orange zest; mix until combined.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients on low speed. Mix just until streaks of flour disappear.
- Fold in the mini chocolate chips by hand.
- Scoop dough onto prepared baking sheets spaced 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes until edges are lightly golden but tops are still soft. Do not overbake.
- Cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to wire rack.
- Once cool, drizzle with melted chocolate and dust with powdered sugar.
Notes
Store in an airtight container. The ricotta keeps these cookies soft for several days.
