Mini Grilled Cheese Hawaiian Rolls

Ingredients
  

Base & Cheese
  • 12 count Hawaiian sweet rolls 1 package
  • 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese shredded
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese shredded
  • 0.25 cup parmesan cheese grated
Garlic Butter Glaze
  • 0.5 cup salted butter melted
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp mayonnaise optional, for creaminess

  • Serrated knife
  • Pastry brush
  • Small mixing bowl

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Slice the Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally. Place the halves cut-side up on the baking sheet.
  3. In a small bowl, mix melted butter, minced garlic, mayonnaise, and half of the parsley.
  4. Brush a light layer of the garlic butter mixture onto the cut side of the rolls.
  5. Combine cheddar and mozzarella, then pile generously onto the rolls. Top with parmesan.
  6. Bake for 10-12 minutes until cheese is bubbly and roll edges are golden brown.
  7. Brush the toasted edges with remaining garlic butter and sprinkle with fresh parsley. Serve hot.

Notes

For extra crunch, broil for the last minute, but watch closely to prevent burning.
