Ingredients

Mummy Bases
  • 1 package refrigerated pizza dough 13.8 oz, or pre-made mini crusts
  • Flour for dusting
Mummy's Inner Layers
  • 0.5 cup pizza sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Mummy's Eyes
  • 12-16 black olives sliced into rounds (or green olives)

Equipment

  • Baking sheet
  • Round cookie cutter (optional)

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Cut pizza dough into 3-4 inch circles (12-16 total) using a cookie cutter, or use pre-made mini crusts. Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  2. Spoon ~1 tsp pizza sauce onto each dough circle, spreading evenly but leaving a small border.
  3. Sprinkle a small amount of mozzarella cheese over the sauce, leaving a space for the eyes.
  4. Tear or cut remaining mozzarella into thin strips. Arrange diagonally over each pizza to create 'bandages,' leaving a gap for eyes.
  5. Place two sliced olives in the 'eye gap' on each mummy pizza.
  6. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until crusts are golden and cheese is melted, bubbly, and gooey.
  7. Let cool slightly and serve warm when the cheese is still wonderfully gooey.

Notes

For best results, use low-moisture mozzarella. These are best served warm when the cheese is gooey. Can be made ahead and reheated gently.
