Method
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Using a serrated knife or your fingers, hollow out the center of each bagel to create a wide bowl, being careful not to tear the bottom.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, cream, salt, pepper, and garlic powder until smooth.
- Place bagels on the baking sheet. Distribute half the cheese, the chopped bacon, and green onions into the bagel cavities.
- Pour the egg mixture carefully into each bagel, filling almost to the top.
- Top with the remaining cheese.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until the egg filling is set and puffy, and the bagels are golden brown.
- Let cool for 5 minutes before serving to allow the filling to set.
Notes
If using fresh bagels, toast them lightly for 3 minutes before filling to prevent sogginess.
