Ingredients

Toast Base
  • 2 slices crusty bread sourdough, ciabatta, etc., 3/4-inch thick
  • 1 tbsp olive oil for toasting
Toppings
  • 1 ball fresh Burrata cheese 4-8 oz, room temperature (gooey sauce)
  • 0.5 apple Honeycrisp, Fuji, or Gala, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp honey good quality (gooey sauce)
  • Several sprigs fresh thyme
  • Freshly cracked black pepper
  • Flaky sea salt optional

Equipment

  • Skillet or Toaster

Method

  1. Toast bread slices with olive oil until golden and crispy. Let cool slightly.
  2. Gently tear open the Burrata ball. Spread the creamy interior and outer pieces over the toast (this is your thick gooey sauce base).
  3. Arrange thinly sliced apples over the Burrata.
  4. Generously drizzle with honey, letting the thick gooey sauce cascade over the toppings.
  5. Sprinkle with fresh thyme leaves, freshly cracked black pepper, and optional flaky sea salt.
  6. Serve immediately.

Notes

Use room temperature Burrata for the best creamy, gooey texture. Tearing the Burrata releases its luscious interior. Best served immediately.
