Ingredients

The Punch
  • 1 cup Countrytime or similar Lemonade Drink Mix dry powder mix
  • 3 cups cold water
  • 1 can chilled pineapple juice 46 oz large can
  • 2 cans Sprite or 7UP 12 oz cans, chilled
  • Optional Lemon and Pineapple slices for garnish
  • To taste ice lots of ice!

Equipment

  • Large drink dispenser (1-2 gallon)
  • Long stirring spoon

Method

  1. In the bottom of a large drink dispenser (or punch bowl), pour in the 3 cups of cold water.
  2. Add the 1 cup of dry lemonade drink mix to the cold water. Use a long spoon or whisk to stir until the powder is fully dissolved. Ensure there are no clumps of mix remaining at the bottom.
  3. Pour in the entire can of chilled pineapple juice (46 oz). Stir to combine the lemonade base and the pineapple juice.
  4. Just before serving, gently pour in the two 12 oz cans of chilled Sprite (or other lemon-lime soda). Stir gently—do not stir vigorously or the carbonation will be lost.
  5. Fill the dispenser the rest of the way with a large amount of ice. Garnish the top with slices of fresh lemon and pineapple.
  6. Serve immediately while the punch is cold and fizzy.

Notes

For best results, keep all liquids chilled before mixing. If you need to make this ahead of time, mix the lemonade and pineapple juice, but only add the Sprite just before the party starts to keep the fizzy quality.
