Ingredients
  

Latte Base
  • 2 shots espresso or 1/2 cup strong coffee
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup pure
  • 1 pinch sea salt
  • 0.75 cup milk or oat milk
  • 1 cup ice
Vanilla Bean Cold Foam
  • 2 tbsp heavy cream
  • 1 splash milk or half & half
  • 0.5 tsp vanilla bean paste or vanilla syrup

Equipment

  • Espresso Machine or Coffee Maker
  • Handheld milk frother
  • Tall Glass
  • Small pitcher

Method
 

  1. Brew espresso or strong coffee into a small cup.
  2. While coffee is hot, stir in maple syrup and pinch of salt until dissolved.
  3. In a separate small jar, combine heavy cream, splash of milk, and vanilla bean paste.
  4. Froth the cream mixture using a handheld frother until thick and creamy (soft peaks).
  5. Fill a tall glass with ice.
  6. Pour milk over the ice, filling about 3/4 of the way.
  7. Pour the maple espresso mixture over the milk.
  8. Top with the prepared vanilla bean cold foam and serve immediately.

Notes

For a dairy-free version, use barista-blend oat milk for the foam.
