Ingredients

Sandwich Base
  • 4 slices white bread Texas toast or brioche works best
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter room temperature
Filling
  • 0.5 cup milk chocolate chips or chopped bar
  • 0.5 cup mini marshmallows or marshmallow fluff
  • 2 sheets graham crackers crushed into crumbs

Equipment

  • Skillet or griddle
  • Spatula
  • Butter knife

Method

  1. Butter one side of each slice of bread thoroughly.
  2. Crush graham crackers into coarse crumbs.
  3. Heat a skillet over medium-low heat. Place one slice of bread in the pan, butter-side down.
  4. Layer chocolate chips, graham cracker crumbs, and marshmallows on the bread.
  5. Top with the second slice of bread, butter-side up.
  6. Cook for 3-4 minutes until the bottom is golden brown and chocolate begins to melt.
  7. Carefully flip and cook the other side for 2-3 minutes until golden and marshmallows are gooey.
  8. Remove from heat, let sit for 1 minute, cut diagonally and serve.

Notes

Watch the heat carefully; sugar burns faster than cheese in a regular grilled cheese.
