Spicy Garlic Butter Sauce

A rich, addictive 10-minute dipping sauce made with melted butter, fresh minced garlic, red chili flakes, and herbs. Perfect for seafood, bread, or steak.

Ingredients
  

Butter Base
  • 1 cup unsalted butter 2 sticks
  • 1 tbsp olive oil prevents burning
Aromatics & Spices
  • 6 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp red pepper flakes adjust for heat
  • 1 tsp Old Bay seasoning or cajun seasoning
  • 0.5 tsp onion powder
  • 0.5 tsp smoked paprika
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper cracked
Finishing
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice freshly squeezed
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley chopped
  • 1 pinch salt to taste

Equipment

  • Small saucepan
  • Wooden spoon
  • Garlic Press or Knife
  • Dipping Bowls

Method
 

  1. In a small saucepan over low heat, add olive oil and 2 tablespoons of the butter.
  2. Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes. Sauté gently for 2-3 minutes until garlic is fragrant but not browned.
  3. Stir in Old Bay, onion powder, smoked paprika, and black pepper. Let spices bloom in the fat for 30 seconds.
  4. Add the remaining butter sticks. Stir occasionally until fully melted and bubbly.
  5. Remove from heat. Whisk in fresh lemon juice and chopped parsley.
  6. Taste and add salt if needed (depends on your seasoning blend). Serve warm.

Notes

Store in fridge for up to 2 weeks. Microwave to remelt.
