Ingredients
  

Bread Batter
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp nutmeg ground
  • 0.5 cup butter softened
  • 0.75 cup sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup eggnog full fat
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
Crumb Topping
  • 0.33 cup sugar
  • 0.33 cup all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp butter cold and cubed

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x5 loaf pan.
  2. Whisk flour, baking powder, salt, and nutmeg in a medium bowl.
  3. In a large bowl, cream softened butter and sugar. Beat in eggs, eggnog, and vanilla.
  4. Fold dry ingredients into wet ingredients until just combined.
  5. Pour batter into the prepared pan.
  6. Mix topping ingredients (sugar, flour, cinnamon) and cut in cold butter until crumbly.
  7. Sprinkle topping over the batter.
  8. Bake for 50-60 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Cool in pan for 10 minutes, then move to wire rack.

Notes

Tent with foil halfway through if the top is browning too fast.
