Ingredients

Punch Base
  • 4 cups apple cider unfiltered is best
  • 2 cups cranberry juice 100% juice
  • 1 cup orange juice freshly squeezed if possible
  • 0.5 cup sparkling water or ginger ale optional, for fizz
Fruit Garnish
  • 1 large apple diced
  • 0.5 cup fresh or frozen cranberries
  • 1 orange thinly sliced
  • 0.25 cup fresh raspberries optional
Optional Sweetener
  • 1-2 tbsp maple syrup or honey to taste, or for glass rim

Equipment

  • Large punch bowl or pitcher

Method

  1. Combine apple cider, cranberry juice, and orange juice in a punch bowl. Stir.
  2. Taste and add optional maple syrup/honey if desired. Stir well.
  3. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours to chill thoroughly.
  4. Just before serving, dice the apple, slice the orange, and have cranberries/raspberries ready.
  5. Add diced apple, cranberries, and raspberries to the chilled punch. Gently stir.
  6. If using, add sparkling water or ginger ale just before serving.
  7. Ladle into glasses, ensuring fruit is included. Garnish with an orange slice. Serve immediately.

Notes

For an alcoholic version, add 1-2 cups of white rum or vodka. Using frozen cranberries helps keep the punch cold without diluting it.
