Ingredients

The Build
  • 1 loaf baguette or ciabatta fresh and crusty
  • 6-8 slices Prosciutto di Parma thinly sliced
  • 0.5 cup Stracciatella cheese or the inside of 2 burrata balls
  • 1 cup baby arugula washed and dried
  • 2 tbsp balsamic glaze thick reduction
  • 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tsp black pepper freshly cracked

Equipment

  • Bread Knife
  • Cutting board

Method

  1. Slice the baguette or ciabatta in half lengthwise. Briefly toast if the crust is soft.
  2. Drizzle the cut sides of the bread with olive oil.
  3. Layer the prosciutto slices onto the bottom half, folding them into ribbons for volume.
  4. Spoon the stracciatella cheese generously over the meat. Season with black pepper.
  5. Top with the fresh arugula.
  6. Drizzle balsamic glaze over the greens and the top bun.
  7. Close the sandwich and press down gently to meld the flavors.
  8. Cut in half on a bias and serve immediately.

Notes

If you cannot find stracciatella, buy fresh Burrata cheese and break it open to use the creamy interior.
