Ingredients

  • 2 large flour tortillas 10-inch, burrito size
  • 0.5 lb sliced turkey oven-roasted or smoked
  • 4-6 slices bacon cooked crispy
  • 1 ripe avocado peeled and sliced
  • 2 slices provolone cheese or cheddar, swiss
  • 0.5 cup lettuce e.g., romaine, shredded or leaves
  • 1 Roma tomato thinly sliced
  • 0.25 cup mayonnaise or ranch dressing
  • pinch Salt and black pepper to taste

Equipment

  • Cutting board
  • Knife

Method

  1. Lay your tortillas flat. Spread the mayonnaise or ranch evenly over each, leaving a 1/2-inch border.
  2. Lay the lettuce over the spread, followed by the slices of provolone cheese.
  3. Layer the sliced turkey on top of the cheese. Arrange the tomato slices over the turkey.
  4. Place the sliced avocado on top of the tomatoes, then sprinkle with a pinch of salt and pepper.
  5. Top with the crispy bacon, broken into large pieces.
  6. To roll: Fold the left and right sides of the tortilla in over the filling. Tightly fold the bottom edge up and over the filling, then continue rolling into a snug log.
  7. Slice the wraps in half on a diagonal with a sharp serrated knife and serve immediately.

Notes

The key to a non-soggy wrap is the lettuce 'barrier' and seasoning the avocado/tomato layers. You can use pre-cooked bacon to make this a true 10-minute, no-cook meal.
