Ingredients

The Wreath
  • 2 tubes crescent roll dough 8 oz each
  • 2 cups cooked turkey chopped or shredded
  • 8 oz Brie cheese sliced, rind optional
  • 0.5 cup whole berry cranberry sauce
  • 1 tbsp fresh rosemary chopped, plus sprigs for garnish
  • 0.25 cup walnuts or pecans chopped (optional)
The Finish
  • 1 egg beaten (for egg wash)
  • 1 tsp water mixed with egg

Equipment

  • Large Baking Sheet or Pizza Pan
  • Parchment paper
  • Pastry brush
  • Knife

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a large round baking sheet or pizza pan with parchment paper.
  2. Unroll both cans of crescent dough and separate into 16 triangles.
  3. Arrange the triangles in a circle with the wide ends overlapping in the center and points facing out, creating a sun shape. The center hole should be about 4-5 inches wide.
  4. Layer the cooked turkey evenly around the wide part of the ring.
  5. Top the turkey with slices of Brie cheese and spoonfuls of cranberry sauce.
  6. Sprinkle chopped rosemary and nuts (if using) over the filling.
  7. Fold the pointed ends of the dough over the filling and tuck them under the center of the ring to secure.
  8. Whisk the egg with water and brush generously over the dough.
  9. Bake for 18-22 minutes until the pastry is deep golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
  10. Let cool for 10 minutes before slicing. Garnish with fresh rosemary sprigs.

Notes

Keep the dough refrigerated until the last possible moment to ensure it is easy to work with.
