Ingredients
  

Cookie Dough
  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 egg large
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp purple gel food coloring and blue if desired
Decoration
  • 1 cup rock candy crystals crushed, blue/purple
  • 0.25 cup corn syrup for assembly
  • 2 tbsp chocolate sprinkles optional for crust

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Beat in egg and vanilla.
  3. Whisk flour, baking powder, and salt together, then gradually mix into wet ingredients.
  4. Divide dough into 3 parts: leave one white, dye one light purple, dye one dark purple.
  5. Gently knead pieces of different colored dough together to create a marble effect.
  6. Roll out dough, cut into circles, and create a depression or hole in the center.
  7. Bake for 8-10 minutes until edges are set. Cool completely.
  8. Brush the center depression with corn syrup and press in rock candy crystals.

Notes

Ensure dough is chilled before rolling to prevent spreading.
